Welcome to a slightly different kind of psychology practice.

Berg Psykologer is an interdisciplinary project that builds bridges between traditional therapy, culture, outreach and research. We are organised into three sections, each with its own purpose:
- Berg Psykologer runs clinical work with individuals and couples.
- Berg Produksjoner produces podcasts and other content on psychological themes.
- Berg Musikk produces music used in our outreach and to make emotional contact with the themes we talk about.
Our values
Berg Psykologer is guided by a holistic view of the human being. We believe that to live well, we need to be allowed to be whole and complex, and to express our many facets. By nature, the human being is a generalist. This view is reflected in how we have chosen to organise Berg Psykologer, where we practise psychology in the broadest sense of the word. There are many ways to reach people, and many ways to be. Here, the whole person is welcome.
Mental health care for everyone who needs it

The aim of the Berg Psykologer clinic is to provide fast, high-quality mental health care. Our public health service sadly does not have the capacity to help everyone who needs it, and so has to prioritise those who are most unwell. At the same time, both research and clinical experience show that change is easier when help arrives early. Early help can also turn a difficult development around before it gets worse.
We welcome all clients. The people we most want to reach are those who carry a struggle and have sought help in the public system, but have not received it because of capacity. If this is you, you can get a discount on your first five sessions with us.
How do I book a session?
Berg Psykologer offers low-threshold sessions with a short waiting time and no referral needed. You can book a time today through our form and get the help you need. Once you have filled in the form, we call you to hear a little about what you would like help with, free of charge. Then we find the psychologist who suits you best and arrange a time. We guarantee a session with a psychologist within one week of speaking with you.
The value of sharing knowledge

A common part of therapy is learning about psychology in general, and about mental health and distress. We do this because gaining a better understanding of how the mind works, your own and other people's, is therapeutic in itself. But you do not strictly need to sit in a therapy room to learn about the mind. As part of our preventive work, Berg Psykologer actively shares knowledge about mental health through social media and podcast production.

A living cultural expression
Sometimes it helps to get more in touch with the concrete feelings in the body. One of the most powerful ways to awaken feeling is through music and art. That is why Berg Psykologer is also a project with a musical side, where we produce and release music meant to nourish, hold and awaken the emotions.
The music can help you process, make contact with grief, or find comfort. We have chosen to make this a central part of our vision. We hold the music we release to a strict standard: it must carry a psychological dimension and be relevant to our work. This is music for you who are having a hard time right now. After all, you are not alone.
